This is an online only event streamed on the British Library platform. Bookers will be sent a viewing link shortly before the event and will be able to watch at any time for 48 hours after the start time.  
 
Jhalak Prize and its sister award Jhalak Children’s & YA Prize were founded in 2020 and have established a distinguished track record in celebrating outstanding works by writers of colour.  

The Jhalak Prize will be judged by authors Anni Domingo, Stella Oni and Denise Saul in 2024, while authors Danielle Jawando, J P Rose and Rashmi Sirdeshpande will be judging the Jhalak Children’s & Young Adult Prize.
